Gillian Hamilton is one of The Green Connection’s researchers. She has over 15 years of experience in the development sector and is passionately committed to the principles of sustainable development, with a specific interest in alternative economic models, the Just Transition and climate finance. She holds a Masters and a BPhil (cum laude) in Sustainable Development from Stellenbosch University, an Honours Degree in Economics (Trade and Development) from the University of Johannesburg and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Management from Wits Business School. Gillian continues to raise awareness about the climate crisis through various voluntary talks and presentations and is an active member of the Resilient40, a network of young Africans committed to making Africa more resilient to climate change.
