Webinar – A Contribution Towards The White Paper On Energy

The Green Connection invites you to a webinar to present a report which analyzed the White Paper on Energy. The White Paper on the Energy Policy was developed by government in 1998 so as to clarify government thinking regarding the supply and consumption of energy for the next decades. It was intended to address all elements of the energy sector as practically as it could. This research or briefing Paper provides a contribution towards what should government should be considering in a new energy policy that results in an energy transition away from fossil fuels and nuclear towards renewable energy in a way that contributes to a more environmentally sustainable and just society. The webinar will highlight the views of youth for updating the energy policy, the current energy challenge for South Africa and recommendations towards a just transition to a renewable based and energy-efficient country.
